Warriors live to see another day

The Golden State Warriors got it done last night topping the Thunder 120-111.  The team was led by Curry’s 31pts and 14pts off the bench by Mo Buckets in a total if 9min.  Bogut and Green each added a double double to contribute to the win to go along with Thompson’s 27pts.  Green only had 11pts, but a crucial 13 rebounds.  Green needs to keep this up heading into OKC, the rebound numbers need to stay up and more points will come.  Bogut had a great game putting up 15pts and snagging 14reb.  In postseason games where Curry has put up 30+points the Warriors are 11-0 coincidence? I do not think so.

Reasons for the Warrior’s win: Like I said before it starts from the line, the Warriors shot just over 90% from the free throw line, 20% better than the last 2 games.  It’s no surprise that free throws contribute to a Warrior win.  The Warriors finally got back their offense of running the floor in transition adding 28 points, which is one point less than their last two games combined.  Golden State also out rebounded and had fewer turnovers than the Thunder.  These are simple categories that the Warriors need to beat the Thunder at in order to win.  Warriors kept their fouls limited and dominated the paint.  Warriors got it done at home but there are still some concerns headed into OKC.

What Warriors need to improve: THEIR DEFENSE, the Thunder still put up 111 points, and have exceeded 110 points the last three games.  Warriors have not shown any answer for Westbrook or Durant who are doing basically whatever they want offensively.  Green needs to D-up Durant and the Warriors need to play help defense on Westbrook with Bogut shutting down Adams.  This may lead to Iguodala getting more minutes.  Golden State needs to let someone other than Durant and Westbrook beat them.

Warriors head to OKC Saturday night and look to even the series.  This seems to be the make it or break it game for the Thunder.  If OKC looses they have to go back to the Oracle for game 7 and they cannot let that happen.  If OKC is going to take down the defending champs, then they must do it tomorrow night at home!
