Cavs Advance, Making it Six Straight Finals for Bron Bron
Listen, nobody hates LeBron more in this world than me besides Stool Pres. He's a first class whiner, complainer, and flopper, but it's no coincidence that he is making his sixth straight finals with two different teams.
LeBron is the first to make six straight finals with two different team since Dennis Rodman (Pistons, Bulls). He is also one of 8 players in history to make 6 straight NBA Finals, with the other 7 being on the Boston Celtics (Bill Russell, Sam Jones, K.C. Jones, Satch Sanders, Tom Heinsohn, Frank Ramsey, and Bill Cousy).
Pretty unbelievable stuff, and the scary part is that I think he has as good of a supporting cast around as he did when he went back-to-back in Miami. Role players like JR Smith have been pivotal for the Cavs this postseason, and having an X factor like that often leads to wins. However, there is no doubt that their biggest test will come in the NBA Finals where they'll face either the Warriors or Thunder (Game 6 tonight in OKC at 9PM). Here's an ESPN infographic on how the Cavs have fared during the regular season against the Warriors and Thunder.
Keep in mind those numbers are without Kyrie Irving on the court for the Cavs. Irving has been awesome this postseason thus far, and is part of the reason they have only lost just two games. In 14 games this postseason, Irving is averaging 24.3PPG to go with a .480 FG%. It's easy to see that LeBron has had a much easier time having what is now a lethal weapon in Irving.
My pick: If the Warriors come back to beat the Thunder, the Cavs will be in bigtime trouble, and lose in 6 Games. However, if they face the Thunder, who I believe they matchup better against, they'll win it in 7.
The Cavs fate could ride on this Game 6 tonight, which is set to be HEINOUS. Heads will roll, testicles will be kicked, and three pointers will be sunk. The Warriors are fighting to salvage their record-breaking season and the Thunder are poised to ruin it. CAN'T WAIT.
PS- These were funny, thank you Drake for making the games that much more entertaining.
And after last night's game he somehow was able to talk to LeBron
