Randy Carlyle is the Ducks New Head Coach

Randy Carlyle is the Ducks New Head Coach

The Anaheim Ducks are set to hire Randy Carlyle today at some point. This will be his second stint with the team. He coached in Anaheim from 2005-11 and he won the Stanley Cup in 2007. After coaching the Maple Leafs for a few years he's back with the Ducks.

Ehh. Questionable to say the least. I know he's worked for the Ducks before and has won a cup, but I don't know about this one. The 2007 Stanley Cup winning Ducks team was LOADED, so I honestly don't think Carlyle had much to do with that. I think Carlyle is very similar to their old coach Bruce Boudreau. Their teams are usually successful during the regular season, but come playoff time they crack.

Hopefully this doesn't happen to Carlyle's new Ducks team...

Welcome back Randy!
