Golden State heads to Cleveland to try and close these Finals out for the second time, but this time they’ll have Draymond Green. After the Game 5 loss Green said,
“If I were out there these Finals would be over.”
I’m not disagreeing with Green here. Golden State looked lost defensively in Game 5, and I believe with Green out there Golden State holds Cleveland off and ends up winning Game 5 at home. LeBron and Kyrie played like animals both not wanting to go home, scoring 41 points each combining for 82 of the teams 112 points. I don’t think were going to see this again from either player for the rest of the series. The way I see it, Cleveland was lucky Draymond Green got suspended because that’s the only reason they’re still in this. I’m sick of how the league caters to it’s superstars especially LeBron who may be the most hated Superstar behind Tom Brady. Hey LeBron if you intentionally step over someone, you deserve to get hit in the nuts, so stop complaining all the time “Mr. High Road.”
Looking back at Game 5 the Warriors had a chance to win, but Barnes straight up shit the bed. He went 2/14 from the floor, 1-6 from three, and 0 for 6 in the fourth missing all 4 three pointers. Barnes in my opinion had a chance to win MVP if he produced in Game 5, but he looked terrible just having 5 points in 38 minutes.
Warriors now head to Cleveland for Game 6 without Andrew Bogut who is out with a knee injury for the rest of the series. This is not a huge loss for the Warriors, as they’ll go with a small line-up with Iguodala starting for Bogut. The three bench players Ezeli, Speights, and Varejo need to make the most of their playing time, and come up big in game 6. One thing I don’t want to see from the Warriors is James Michael McAdoo get playing time, I do not see
History tends to repeat itself, so I’m taking the Warriors tonight in Game 6. I think Draymond Green plays like a beast and has a triple double. I don’t see Kyrie or LeBron playing like they did in Game 5, and I believe they combine for less than 55 points. I think Curry and Thompson combine for more points than Kyrie and LeBron. Thompson got going last game for the Warriors and I believe he continues it in Game 6.
