Game of Thrones Episode 9 Preview: Battle of the Bastards
Okay. Real quick, let's go over the title of this week's eppy, "Battle of the Bastards". If you watched the "next week on Game of Thrones" after last weeks episode, you know that this weeks show is going to revolve around the battle for Winterfell between Jonny Snow and Ramsay Bolton. Should be a pretty lit little skirmish they get into, but as long as Jon Snow doesn't die again it's a win for me honestly. I really hope they do capture Winterfell, as every sane GoT fan should, but honestly the odds are stacked against them. Other than the wildling's and their giant, I feel like Jon's army is kind of weak, and that an attack of this significance should take more time to map out than it did. Ramsay on the other hand has had tons of men all along, and now that his pops is out of the picture they are all at his command. Thrones is too real of a show to just hand over Winterfell to the Starks just because the fans like Jon and Sansa, look out for one hell of a fight tonight.
As for the rest of the storylines, we can start with Arya since we ended with her last episode. According to her, she's "going home", but frankly she's pretty god damn far from home, so it may take her a while to get there. Knowing Thrones, she probably won't make it back to any of her family until next season. I'd love to see a Jon, Sansa, Arya reunion, but given that we already saw Jon and Sansa reunite this year, it's hard for me to believe that they would give us fans the satisfaction of seeing all of them together this season. It sucks, but I honestly think that we're done with any significant Arya Stark scenes in Season 6.
On to Dany. The spicy dragon mama returned home to Meereen and reunited with Tyrion and Grey Worm and co last week. Hopefully this week we get a fat dosage of Drogon burning some slave masters since we got deprived of that at the end of last weeks episode. After all of them are presumably fried, Dany will hopefully get on with her whole trip to Westeros, cause God knows she has been breaking chains and what not for far too long.
Next up, King's Landing. Tommen's a little bitch, glad we got that out of the way. Cersei is virtually screwed considering she doesn't have Trial By Combat at her disposal anymore. The Mountain's angry, and the High Sparrow's nuts are as wrinkly as ever. Obviously Margaery Tyrell is up to something, not sure what yet because honestly she's really freaking good at making it seem like she's now some holy queen or whatever the High Sparrow is into.
Need a fat dosage of Bran and Uncle Benji as well this week as we got gipped out of their storyline too last episode. Big fan of the young Ned Stark flashbacks so gotta have it and gotta have it TONIGHT.
ALSO, AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO REMEMBERS THIS DUDE?!?!?
THIS DUDE IS THE RIGHTFUL HEIR TO THE THRONE! AM I GOING INSANE CRAZY!?!?!? Haven't seen Gendry (that's his name by the way), Robert Baratheon's legitimate son, since like season 2. The guy is lowkey a HUGE player in the Game right now and he's been MIA. BRING HIM BACK.
