Dom's Draftkings Picks 6/3
Here's my gross lineup from last night...
No excuses, just a bunch of shitty picks on a light slate. Porcello sucked, as did Kang (whose team was no-hit into the sixth I believe), and Bogaerts and Miggy were respectable.
Tonight, 14 games on the schedule so let's be better.
SP: Jake Odorizzi - 9K
Odorizzi shut down the Yanks last week, but that's no feat accomplished seldom by opposing SPs. His 3.36 ERA currently shows he can keep teams off the board, but a shaky bullpen has let him down a few times this year. However, Odorizzi has a weak matchup tonight against the Twins, who are 26th in total team batting this year. Good price point to pair him with one of the top dog SPs tonight, easily forsee him putting up a 20 spot.
Adrian Beltre - 4.2K
Adrian seems to just get better with age. At age 37, he's currently riding a 7-game hit streak which includes 4 multi-hit performances. Couple that with his already impressive numbers (.279, 9HR, 35RBI) and I think you have a solid 3B position. Oh, and he's 5 for 11 off of Taijuan Walker with a .636 SLG%.
Carlos Correa - 3.9K
Correa has undoubtedly slowed down this year, but is still putting up decent numbers. He hits in a juiced lineup with a lot of protection and consistently sees a lot of fastballs to hit. No reason why he can't put one out against Oakland's Jesse Hahn tonight. Hahn is a righty, and of Carlos' 8HR this year, zero have come against lefties. Left field porch at Minute Maid is calling his name tonight.
VALUE PLAY: John Jay 3.4K
Grossss he's on the Padres I know (who also blew a 10-run lead last night, btw) but he rakes off of Chris Rusin. 5 for 6 off of the guy with 2 doubles. And I don't think I mentioned that in Jay's last two games, he is 9 for 12 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI, and 4 runs scored. RED HOT. UNREAL MATCHUP. Now watch this not work...
