Copa Day 2 Review Day 3 Preview
Yesterday the predictions were 2 out of 3 not too shabby. While the scores were not correct, two out of three results were, and we are living in a result business, don't ever forget it. To the games:
Costa Rica V Paraguay- This game was played to a 0-0 draw, the best result the US could ask for. Watson for Costa Rica picked up a red card in the 94th minute so he will be out for their game against the US, which is an advantage for the Americans.
Peru V Haiti- Peru scored the only goal in this match in the second half and won 1-0. Peru sits in first in Group B, but not for long let me tell you.
Brazil V Ecuador- This game was controversial as Ecuador scored a goal in the second half but it was waved off by a bad call by the official as he said the ball went out of bounds, but it papered to stay in. Brazil was lucky to pull out a 0-0 draw, the Brazilian supporters left the Rose Bowl heated as they shouted down boos.
Day 3 Preview- We got two matches today both being from Group C
Venezuela-Jamaica- Expect venezuela to weather the storm as the Jamaicans will come out fast. Venezuela eventually gets a late one Venezuela 1-0.
Mexico V Uruguay- Uruguay is the most underrated team in this tournament. While Suarez is not playing, Cavanni should be able to carry the offense to victory. Ochoa will try his best but eventually Uruguay breaks through 1-0 victory for Uruguay.
