Playing like Warriors
The Golden State Warriors jump out to a quick 2-0 against the Cavs. Warriors won game 2 with ease behind a stellar performance from Draymond Green. Green had 28 points and was 5/8 from downtown. Curry picked up his fourth foul early in the third quarter and had to take to seat for longer than usual. Green stepped up and contributed in his spot. He said,
“When Steph came out that gave me confidence… but we sure needed him back.”
Early in the game Bogut came out like savage blocking 4 shots in 4 minutes, and collecting 4 rebounds. He left in the first quarter with an “apparent injury” but turns out he just needed to take a piss. Hey when a guys gotta go he’s gotta go. Bogut only played a mere 15 minutes in game 2, which I believe was low, but did they really need him to play when they ended up winning by 33 points?
Everybody is making a big deal about LeBron being back in the Finals but this time with his sidekicks Irving, and Love, but the real story is how much better the Warriors got from last year. This team is making the Cavs look like recreational league basketball team. Cavs got blown out twice and LeBron needs to change the script game 3 if they want to have any chance. Golden State has dominated their big 3 and the Cavs have no one else stepping up.
The last two games, the Cavs have done a decent job, but they just haven’t made many of their shots. Iguodala has been shutting down whoever he his is playing on offense whether it’s LeBron, Love or Kyrie, and Draymond Green is having a much better series against the Cavs then he did the Thunder. Cavs need someone other than there big 3 to have a big game.
One thing that should scare the crap out of Cleveland is in these two games not only losing by a margin of 48 points, but they fact that Curry or Thompson has not gone off yet. The Cavs held Curry and Thompson to under 20 points combined in game 1, and less than 20 each in game 2. Thompson and Curry are both bound to have a 30+ game this series and that has not happened yet.
My prediction is Warriors win it at home in game 5. I think they lose game 3 just because LeBron and the Cavs come home and know they can’t go down 3-0. Also JR Smith is due for one big game a series where he’s over 40% from three and 50% from the floor. I think Cleveland could get this from him in game 3, and manage to keep it a series. Ultimately, Warriors get a game 4 win and come back the Oracle and win it all. I’d say they have a better chance of sweeping than they do letting this series go 6 games.
