Stanley Cup Final Game 5 Preview and Prediction
Make or break time for the Sharks tonight. The glorious journey for the Sharks could come to a bitter end with a loss tonight in the 'Burgh. Matt Murray is looking to become the first rookie goalie to win the Stanley Cup since Cam Ward did it a decade ago. Sid also has a chance to cement himself as one of the greatest Penguins at the age of 28. If Sid wins it, he and Mario Lemieux will both have two rings.
As for the Sharks, they are down and are most certainly out. I just can't see the Sharks squeezing out two more wins in a row even if they do extend the series tonight. Joe Pavelski has been as invisible as Harry Potter and his cloak of invisibility. He needs to figure it out and get the Sharks on the right track or this series is ending tonight for sure. The big guns obviously need to step it up tonight and play with desperation. Tomas Hertl has been ruled out for Game 5 with a lingering lower-body injury. The Sharks are going to miss Hertl's speed which is what the Sharks are lacking against this Penguins team.
Prediction: Penguins 3, Sharks 2, Penguins win their second cup in seven years.
