At Least 80 Dead As Terror Strikes France On Bastille Day.
This is it people. This is the world we live in. Isn't it terrifying? Isn't it sad? Aren't we ashamed as human beings that we've let it get to this point? Apparently not.
Yesterday evening horror struck France once again, as a truck driver plowed through a Bastille Day celebration crowd, murdering at least 80 innocent human beings. For those who don't know, Bastille Day is France's Independence Day. It's their 4th of July, so imagine watching fireworks one second and running for your life the next. Mind-blowing shit to say the least. I wish I could sit here and come up with all the answers to save us from this bullshit world that we live in, but I can't. If the world isn't a pile of dust by the time humans are done with it then maybe the next species to inhabit this place can figure out the whole world peace thing, but it has never and will never be us. People have been hating each other since the beginning of time. Yeah it sucks that today these hate-filled monsters have the means to wipe out such a large amount of people in literally a minute, but I have no reason to sit here and believe that things are going to change any time soon. It just keeps on happening, and every time people act like they're surprised or something. It doesn't make any sense. It's like all we do is sit there with our jaws on the floor for a few hours and then go back to living our regular ass lives.
I'm a simple minded person, so when I see shit like this continue to go down my first thought is: are we really this ignorant and close-minded? It's like one time is too fucking much, but after the a millionth friggin time how do we not sit everybody down and say listen, let's get our shit together here. Obviously there would be broader, more intelligent conversation being spewed but that's the gist of what seriously needs to happen. We all just need to get our fucking shit together.
Just super sad stuff all over again. I hate hearing about it. I hate waking up to it. I hate writing about it. Rest In Peace to all of the victims, including the 10 children who never got the chance to grow up and take their shot at fixing this nightmare of a world that we live in. May God Bless the families who lost a loved one yesterday in France. And please, please, please let there be peace on earth, God knows no one else needs to die.
