Couple of Big Time Retirements in The NFL Today
Darnell Dockett and Greg Jennings retired today both after spending 10 years in the NFL. I was pretty surprised with both of these retirements since I thought they both still had some good years in them. Dockett especially he was a great combo with Calais Campbell and played pretty god for the Cardinals this year. 4.5 sacks for a defensive tackle in a 3-4 defense is pretty good.
Jennings on the other hand only had 19 receptions on 36 targets last year. He only caught one tuddy too. That’s not a serviceable year. But it could’ve just been an off year because he caught 800 and 700 yards the two years before that. Regardless, he seems pretty excited about being retired and seems to want to work with either ESPN or a front office for a team in the NFL.
