Foul Ball Guy Zack Hample is Getting Torn Apart on Twitter
Foul ball guy Zack Hample is getting absolutely shredded to pieces on Twitter for ballhawking at the Fort Bragg game between the Marlins and Braves. The game was meant to honor the US Armed Forces, and only Department of Defense members and their families were allowed to attend. Hample explained why he was at the game via Twitter:
However, Fort Bragg officials said that tickets to the game were non-transferrable. Meaning that ticket holders to the game could not just give away their seat. The story took a turn for the bizarre when Twitter account Retweet Ohio revealed that Hample asked for tickets via Tinder, offering $1000 to anyone willing to bring him in as a guest:
Hample collected 11 balls at the game. He has attempted to make things right by donating $100 per ball to American Veterans, or $1100 total, and he gave all but one of the balls away. Okay, cool. But he shouldn't have been there in the first place. You can make a charitable donation without conning your way into the stadium and making an ass of yourself on social media.
The 82nd Airborne Division pulled an HRC and asked Hample to delete his account:
Even Marlins Man got in on the action:
