Devils Re-sign Kyle Palmieri To A 5-Year Deal

Devils Re-sign Kyle Palmieri To A 5-Year Deal

Awesome move here by Devils GM, Ray Shero.

I don't think anyone expected anything less from Ray when it came to re-signing Palmieri. This move was 100% necessary on his part. Palmieri's a Jersey native who's only 25-years-old, and led the team with 57 points last season. He and Adam Henrique were the Devils only 30 goal scorers, so this was an important signing to build a good roster around. Taylor Hall, Palmieri and Henrique are 24, 25, and 26 years of age. Ray has definitely brought some talented youth to this team over the past two off-seasons.

I'm excited to see any other moves Shero has in store for the Devils. He's already brought in Taylor Hall, Ben Lovejoy, Vernon Fiddler and Beau Bennett. Combine those names with a team featuring Cory Schneider in net and this team has a good chance to compete for a playoff spot next season. With that being said, I don't believe Shero is quite done remodeling this squad yet.
