Red Sox Trade For Aaron Hill From The Brewers

The Sox traded 27 year old AAA right hander Aaron Wilkerson and a 20 year old Wendell Rijo for Aaron Hill and cash considerations. I got no problem moving Rijo. He's the 17th ranked prospect for the Red Sox, but we don't really need him because he's a second baseman and we have Pedroia and someday soon we'll have Moncada, but I'm not crazy about this trade because although Wilkerson is 27 he's been very good in the minors and was reportedly close to being called up last Sunday (Sox called up Sean O'Sullivan instead).

We need pitching more than anything right now so I don't get why we would trade away a promising prospect for another bat. The only reason we're winning games now is because our offense is so good. Where is Hill even gonna play for us? He won't start over Shaw or Pedroia. I don't know I guess he could be a good utility guy for us, kinda like what Brock Holt did for us last year but with more pop.
