Blue Jays Edwin Encarnacion is Being Sued For Knowingly Giving A Woman an STD
Back in February, Toronto Blue Jays all-star Edwin Encarnacion was enjoying himself in the Dominican Republic. Encarnacion also enjoyed the company of a lady friend, who later reported she had contracted two STDs subsequently after the trip.
Now get this, this same woman was involved with another Blue Jay player (we don't know who yet, we probably never will unfortunately) in 2015. After their encounter she went for an STD test, which came back negative.
After her time in the Dominican with Encarnacion, she went back for another test (why not if you're moving at this rate) and it came back positive. She claims Edwin misled her into believing he did not have a sexually transmitted disease, which is allegedly untrue. This woman is now suing for $11.5 million in "damages."
Encarnacion, free agent to be at the end of this year, will command a very large deal next season given his exceptional on-field production. The way that this is looking for him, he might have squeeze every last dime out of his new deal. Oh and the least shocking news of the century, his agent has no comment.
